Leaving here.

When you have an idea of where you're going, it always helps put what you're looking at in context. Everything is relative. Waking up in our beautiful home in Canada this morning made us feel incredibly lucky for all we have.

We're at the airport about to depart.

Everyone I've had the chance to speak with who has been before almost instantly mentions that India is a place that changes you. They generally say this while staring at you with this kooky melodramatic glaze. Perhaps what they say is legitimate, perhaps it's just another cliche. Whatever the case, we're clearly about to find out.

It's truly overwhelming. Going to the other side of the globe "to make a difference". I'm not really sure where this "difference" is going to occur. Maybe it's going to be as advertised: " A Himalayan Village's world is made better through the compassion of foreign professionals". Perhaps the "difference" is going to be entirely unexpected. I know what I'm hoping for.

This is the first time I've ever gotten involved in something like this. We've had the most successful year imaginable, and this just made perfect sense.

It's been so amazing watching so many people help out and continue to contribute to our cause. This would not be possible without your amazing support. We're going to make sure that we show you where your money's going along the way.

So, here goes.

Begin the blog. Begin 20 hours of travel. Begin Project India.
